The Hamas Movement has condemned the US state department’s readiness to recognize Israel’s annexation plan as “political impudence rejected by the Palestinian people,” affirming that such US positions will never confer legitimacy on the Israeli occupation.
In press remarks on Tuesday, Hamas spokesman Abdul-Latif Qanu described Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu’s reassertion that his government would annex Palestinian lands in the West Bank to the Jewish state as digging a “grave for the abortive peace process.”
Spokesman Qanu affirmed that the Palestinian people would protect their national cause against such destructive plans.
