Chief the Hamas Movement abroad Maher Salah has affirmed that his Movement will continue to work for the release of all Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons, applauding their steadfastness in the face of the Israeli occupation and its jailers.
“The heroic prisoners in the occupation’s jail are the finest people of Palestine. Among them are the leaders and soldiers who have given their ages and the blossom of their lives for the sake of the homeland,” Salah said in a statement on the occasion of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Day, which is marked on April 17.
He said that “the Palestinian people have been fighting and resisting the occupation for more than 70 years, during which many of them became martyrs and prisoners, suffered injuries, and displaced from their homes and native areas.”
“Today, you are thousands of men, women and children, but you are not alone. You are our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons and daugeters, and your issue is our top priority and our greatest concern,” the Hamas official added.
