Days Of Palestine – West Bank
On Monday, the Israeli occupation forces detained 17 Palestinians in multiple overnight raids across the occupied West Bank, said the Palestine Prisoners’ Society (PPS).
It said in a press statement that Israeli forces rounded up five Palestinians from the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem.
One of the five detainees was identified as a resident of Dheisheh refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, and another as a resident of al-Doha town, located to the southwest of Bethlehem.
Meanwhile, the PPS statement said that four others were rounded up from Hebron district.
Two of the four detainees were identified as residents of Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron city, and another as a resident of Surif town, located to the northwest of Hebron city.
In the meantime, Israeli police detained two Palestinians, including a minor, after ransacking their families’ houses in the Old City of Jerusalem and Issawiya neighborhood.
A similar military raid was conducted in Abu Dis town, east of Jerusalem, resulting in the detention of another person.
In Ramallah district, Israeli military raided Deir al-Sudan village, located to the north of Ramallah city, where soldiers nabbed a Palestinian man.
Another predawn military raid was carried out in Bilin village, located to the west of Ramallah city, resulting in the detention of another person.
In the northern West Bank, PPS said a Palestinian man was detained in Nablus district and two others from Tulkarm district.
