The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) intensified their military measures and obstructed the movement of Palestinian citizens near the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron city on Monday.

According to local sources, the IOF spread through the area around the Ibrahimi Mosque and at the checkpoints leading to it and obstructed the access of Muslim worshipers to the Mosque for prayers.

Director of the Ibrahimi Mosque Hafdi Abu Asnaineh said that Israeli soldiers at the entrances leading to the holy site prevented Muslim worshipers from entering it before searching them.

However, hundreds of Palestinians flocked to the Mosque and performed prayers to confront Israel’s attempts to Judaize the Islamic holy site, Abu Asnaineh added.
