Israeli settlers today assaulted an elderly Palestinian man as he tried to prevent them from stealing olives in the village of Jaba’a, to the south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.

Hasan Breijieh, a local anti-settlement activist, said that settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement Bat Ayin assaulted Fadel Hamdan, a man in the 70s of age, when he fought them as they were stealing olive harvest which belong to local Palestinian villages.

The elderly was moved to the Beit Jala hospital where his condition was reported to be moderate.
