The Hamas Movement has held the Israeli occupation state responsible for the consequences of its persistence in targeting peaceful protesters participating in Gaza March of Return rallies with live ammunition.
At least 97 participants in the border rallies on Friday suffered different injuries, mostly from Israeli forces’ firing of live bullets.
In a press release on Saturday, Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum called for a strong and effective strategy that could “deter the criminal occupation state and put an end to its crimes.”
Barhoum warned that the use of live ammunition against peaceful protesters can never go unnoticed, describing the Palestinian blood as “a red line.”
Since March 30, 2018, the Palestinian citizens in Gaza have been participating in weekly peaceful protests on the Gaza border to call for ending the blockade on their impoverished enclave and to advocate the Palestinian right of return.
