Rana Ramlawi is a sand sculptor in Gaza City.
She started carving surface drawings on sand and later developed her talent to create large sculptures that take days to complete.
“I sculpt ideas,” Ramlawi told The Electronic Intifada. “Like the Palestinian issue and the issue of Palestinian tradition.”
“I don’t make decorative sculptures,” she added.
Ramlawi dreams of participating in international tournaments where she can represent Palestine.
