Seven protesters injured in Israeli artillery attack east of Rafah

Days of Palestine -

Seven Palestinian protesters suffered injuries on Thursday night when an Israeli tank shelled a resistance observation post during a night protest in the southeast of the Gaza Strip.

As young protesters was torching tires near the Israeli border fence in the east of Rafah, the Israeli artillery targeted a nearby observation post belonging to al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas, local sources reported.

Dozens of Gazan young men marched last night to a flashpoint area in the east of Rafah, where they torched tires, used loudspeakers to play national songs and sirens, and flashed laser beams at soldiers behind the border fence.

Organizers say the night rallies are part of the March of Return rallies and aimed at creating confusion among Israeli forces on the border and pressuring Israel to lift its blockade on Gaza.
