The Popular Movement for National Salvation sent a message to the Pope of Vatican on March 4, calling him to support the Palestinians to end the violations of the Israeli occupation and the sanctions of the outgoing president Mahmoud Abbas against them.
On February, Thousands of protesters gathered in the Gaza Strip on Sunday to call for Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas to resign after his attempts to pressure Gazans with financial cuts in the impoverished enclave.

The Popular Movement for National Salvation wishes you a good health and more success in serving humanity, in order to achieve justice, integrity and tranquility, which the divine religions have called for the entire humanity. The Popular Movement for National Salvation praises your holiness position in which you called for social justice, and your honorable appeal to mercy for the poor people.
You great words during the Latin American Bishops' conference in 2007 from which we quote:" We live in the most injustice part of the world, which has increased even more worse, while the efforts to eradicate misery seems to be at its least.". you words found place here in Gaza, after the complicity of the outgoing Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, with the Israeli occupation and his neglecting of human values and divine religions teachings by humiliating the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip. That alliance calls for persecution, discrimination, corruption, starvation and quick and slow killing.
This alliance against the innocent and poor people, which characterized by being political and contrary to religion, was not the first of its kind that Gaza has experienced in its ancient and modern history, but it has different personalities and tools which are consistent with the darkness of each period. There was already an alliance of evil idolaters against Saint Hilarion, who was born in Gaza, and founded the first association of monks in the region, built the first and the largest church in Palestine-Gaza in 329 AD, before it was destroyed by the apostate emperor Julian. Saint Hilarion died in exile in Cyprus in 371 AD.
Gaza, which provided great services to Christian religion as an important station for monks, priests and faithful people in their journey between Asia and Africa and as a seaport to Europe 1800 years ago, had previously suffered from its disloyal governor, which Hilarion came for, who is known by his complicity with idolaters , hoping to create wealth for his corrupt family, at the expense of persecuted Christians, until Saint Perforius complained to Queen Evdoxia in the capital of the Roman state, who ended the alliance of idolatry and the corrupt rule in Gaza.

The Popular Movement for National Salvation want to illustrate to you the nature of the sanctions implemented by the Israeli occupation alliance with the outgoing president Mahmoud Abbas which transformed Gaza, an area with a population of 2 million, to the largest open prison in the world. The UN reports have predicted, years ago, that it could become uninhabitable by 2020 if current situation continue.
The outgoing president, Mahmoud Abbas, used the Gaza Strip to cover his failing in leadership and administration, without taking lessons from history. He founded the smallest and most brutal dictatorship in the Middle East, with a clear Israeli help, based on underestimating the Palestinian people and underrating its capabilities.
Abbas has taken several punitive measures against his people, including violating their freedom of expression, corrupting the political life, threating his opponents by arrest, exile, persecution and intimidation, and depriving the Gaza Strip of the basic developing services related to education, health, security and environment, in addition to the cut of the salaries of the Palestinian Authority employees in Gaza after they were previously reduced, without mentioning where the money have gone. He also negotiated political positions with basic services guaranteed by law such as the right to treatment or the issuance of a passport, and exchanged the roles with the Israeli occupation to close the border crossings, and manipulate with water and electricity services, which killed dozens of children in hospitals.
The outgoing president, Mahmoud Abbas, also tried to justify the closing of the only crossing for the movement of individuals between the Gaza Strip and the Arab Republic of Egypt. He also implemented a financial policy in cooperation with the Israeli occupation, increased the unemployment rate in the Gaza Strip to more than 60%, and increased poverty rates to 80% , 40% of which live in extreme poverty. He also exacerbated the tragedy and suffering of the people, especially after deducting a large part of the international donations for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, following three destructive wars by the fascist governments in Tel Aviv, in favor of strengthening his authority.
Abbas has made great efforts to stay as president for life by destroying and corrupting the Palestinian political life and creating new laws based on his personal benefits, without any legislative or constitutional cover, similar to the notorious Anglo-Saxon law. He also rejected any referendum on his absurd political approach.
In a flagrant violation of the Palestinian legal, constitutional and legislative authorities, the so-called Constitutional Court was formed in order to dissolve the elected Legislative Council. Abbas gave the power to a few individuals to abolish the will of an entire people. He also dissolved the government of national unity, and gave orders to form a government from his isolationist political environment and those who support him and his sons' economic empire. He announced his intention to hold legislative elections only and excluded himself from the process of renewing the legitimacy by refusing to hold presidential elections, as if he believe in democracy for once only.

We, the popular movement for national salvation, have decided to follow the courageous way of Saint Porphyrius in raising his voice in order to end the corrupt alliance with idol worshipers, which now represented by the alliance between Mahmoud Abbas and the Israeli occupation. We appreciate your affirmation, in 2014, on the right of the Palestinian people to have an independent and sovereign country. We assure you that Gaza will fail all the projects of liquidation, separation and humiliation.
We assure to your holiness that the Palestinian people look forward for the supporting of the Vatican to end the violations of the Israeli occupation and the sanctions of the outgoing president Mahmoud Abbas against them. We also inform you that the masses of poor and miserable people who gathered on 24th February 2019 had made their final decision to consider Mahmoud Abbas as illegal president of the state of Palestine and have no authority to represent the Palestinian people. We ask you to deal with him and encourage all states to deal with him as so.
