Scores of Palestinians were arrested and civilian homes ransacked by the Israeli occupation forces in predawn Wednesday sweeps launched across the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Israeli army claimed responsibility for the abduction of eight Palestinians from the West Bank over allegations of involvement in anti-occupation activities.
Lawyer Muhammed Mahmoud said the occupation forces arrested 22 Palestinians in Jerusalem’s town of al-Issawiya.
The list of arrestees includes Jerusalem governor Adnan Gheith and lawyer Medhat Deiba.
The campaign targeted Palestinians from the West Bank provinces of Jenin and al-Khalil.
