Palestinian prisoner has a baby through smuggled sperm

Days of Palestine -

The wife of a Palestinian prisoner who is being held in Israeli jails gave birth on Monday to his daughter after his sperm was smuggled out of prison.

The Committee of the Families of Palestinian Prisoners said that 38-year-old Fahmi Mashahra’s wife gave birth to a baby girl after a caesarean carried out in Al-Maqased Hospital in Jerusalem.

The baby has been named Eid.

According to the Committee, Mashahra and his brother have been in Israeli prisons since 2002 and are serving life terms over claims that they assisted Palestinian resistance forces.

Mashahra has a five-year-old daughter, Aziza, who was also conceived after his sperm was smuggled out of prison, the Committee said.
