Israeli occupation forces killed Palestinian man and wounded more than 50 others in West Bank, Jerusalem and Gaza Strip during protests of Friday of Rage.
Since Thursday morning, the Israeli occupation forces have been preparing themselves to suppress the Palestinian protests planned to condemn Trump’s announcement that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital.
Palestinian ministry of health and the Palestinian Red Crescent reported one Palestinian, Mahmoud al-Masri, 30, killed in Gaza and more than 50 injuries during Friday protests in the occupied territories.
They noted that nine of the wounded were targeted with live bullets and four of them suffered severe injuries.
In addition, they reported a protester in Jerusalem suffered critical injury in the arm caused when he was savagely beaten by the Israeli occupation police.
After Trump’s announcement, the leaders of all Palestinian factions called on the Palestinians to take to the streets, protesting against Trump’s “aggressive” announcement about Jerusalem.
The Palestinians started to protest against the announcement on Thursday. They chanted slogans against Trump and Israel, as well as they burnt pictures and effigies of Trump and Netanyahu.
It is worth mentioning that Trump’s announcement infuriated many of the world leaders and most of the world nations, who believe that the issue of Jerusalem must be resolved through negotiations.
Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims consider Trump’s announcement an “aggression” on their third holiest place on earth after Mecca and Madinah.
Zionists occupied the western part of Jerusalem in 1948 and the eastern part in 1967. They annexed the eastern part in the early 1980s and caused international outrage.
The US Congress decided in 1995 to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, but American presidents put off this recognition fearing it would cause unnecessary tension in the Middle East.
