British medical team carried out on Sunday one more kidney transplantation surgery for elderly Palestinian in Gaza.
The British Team from Liverpool Hospital headed by Dr Abdel Qader Hammad, consultant transplant surgeon, arrived Gaza in Gaza at the end of February.
During his 13th visit to Al-Shifa Hospital, he is planned to carry out over 30 kidney surgeries, as well as to finalise the project of setting up the kidney transplantation department at the biggest Gaza hospital.
He also is expected to complete the training of the kidney transplantation staff during this visit.
Since he arrived in Gaza, Hammad has carried out 34 surgeries to patients of renal failure.

Patients of kidney failure in Gaza had been suffering heavily due to the lack of equipment and expertise to carry out kidney transplantation surgeries. At the same time, the strict 10-year-old Israeli siege aggravated their suffering.
The efforts of Hammad and his team contributed effectively in alleviating the suffering of the kidney failure patients, soothed their pain and lessened the burden of the ministry of health in Gaza.
