Ayyash said that the Israeli gunboats obstructed the fishing boats, opened fire at them then asked the fishermen to take their clothes off and to nakedly swim towards the Israeli ships.

The fishermen and their boats, Ayyash said, were taken to the Israeli seaport of Ashdod, where several stolen fishing boats are existed.
Ayyash identified the fishermen as Majid Bakr, his sons and Imran Mohamed Bakr, and their relative Khalil Bakr.
Kidnapping the fishermen of Bakr family came only two days after kidnapping two other fishermen and stealing their boat.
Such Israeli aggressive acts occur almost every day as Gaza fishermen come under Israeli navy fire and farmers come under fire of Israeli ground forces.
The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights said that the Israeli navy opened fire on Palestinian fishermen at least 139 times over the course of the year, wounding 24 and damaging 16 fishing boats.
