Israeli occupation forces shot dead second Palestinian in 24 hours in West Bank after claims of defending themselves from the Palestinians’ attacks.
On Monday evening, the Israeli occupation forces shot dead a Palestinian after claiming he opened fire at the illegal Israeli military checkpoint of Beit El, the main West Bank city of Ramallah.
The slain Palestinian was identified as Mohamed Turkman from the town of Qabatia near Jenin. He is about 25 years old and works as a security officer.
Following the attack, in which the Israeli occupation claimed two Israeli soldiers were lightly wounded and a third was seriously wounded, the Israeli occupation sealed off Ramallah and announced it a closed military zone.
Less than 24 hours, the Israeli occupation shot dead a Palestinian youth from the town of Beit Ummar north of the West Bank city of Al-Khalil.
Israeli occupation media reported claims that he carried out a car-ramming attack near the illegal Israeli Jewish settlement of Gush Etzion and allegedly wounded three soldiers.
The Palestinian youth was later on identified as Khaled Ikhlayel, 23. The shooting took place amid intense clashes between the Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers, who stormed the Palestinian town.
Since October 2015, over 250 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli occupation forces; more than 30 per cent of whom were children.
