Israeli occupation forces murdered on Wednesday at noon Palestinian girl at Israeli military checkpoint of Zaatara in occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent (PRC) said that the Israeli occupation forces opened fire at the Palestinian girl at the aforementioned checkpoint.
According to the PRC, the girl received several live bullets in the head and left lying on the ground bleeding for a while.
Later on, the PRC said, the girl, who was identified as Rahiq al-Birawi, 19, from Asira al-Shamaliyeh in Nablus, died.
Spokeswoman of the Israeli occupation police claimed that the Palestinian girl attempted to stab an Israeli soldier at the checkpoint; however, the girl was shot about 50 metres away from the location of the Israeli soldiers.
Family sources said that the girl was going to her uncle’s house to take part in his birthday’s celebration.
This death of this girl brings the number of the Palestinians, who had been murdered by the Israeli occupation since last October, to 224.
