Israeli occupation forces have kidnapped 1,000 Palestinian children since start of 2016, Palestinian Prisoners, Freed Prisoners Committee said on Saturday.
In a statement, the Committee said that the ages of the 1,000 Palestinian children, who had been kidnapped since the start of 2016, ranged between nine and 18 years old.
The Committee noted that the rate of Israeli kidnapping of Palestinian children had risen by 80 per cent compared to the same period in 2015.
Some of the kidnapped Palestinian children, the Committee said, were turned to administrative detention, a detention form which is banned for adults, not only children.
In addition, the Committee said that some of the children were charged to pay high fines and some were sentenced to long times inside prisons based on newly approved Israeli law.
The Military Court Watch (NGO) reported an account of a 9-year-old child, describing how did the Israeli occupation forces beat him, blindfolded him and harshly dealt with him in order to give them names of children he knows might have been involved in throwing stones at them.

Meanwhile, the Prisoners Committee said that tens of the children were put under house arrest, ignoring their right to play, move and even their right to go to schools.
According to the Committee, the Israeli occupation has put 70 Palestinian children under house arrest since the start of 2016.
