Israeli forces destroy house of 15-year-old Palestinian prisoner

Days of Palestine -

Days of Palestine, West Bank -Israeli occupation forces destroyed on Saturday at dawn family house of Palestinian child in Israeli jails, sending ten family members homeless.

Palestinian witnesses said that a large number of Israeli occupation forces stormed tonight the Palestinian village of Beit Amra in the West Bank city of Al-Khalil and destroyed the house of the family of the Palestinian boy in Israeli jails Murad Edis, 15.

An Israeli military court had convicted Edis of alleged attacking a female Israeli settler in the illegal Jewish settlement of Otniel. However, the boy’s layer said that he was not given the chance to defend himself.

The boy’s family completely denied that he had carried out an attack against a settler, stressing that the boy was at home when the meant attack took place.

“My son was arrested at his home two days after the attack,” the father said. “He did not leave the house for several days during that time,” he stressed, noting that was the time of Murad’s school holiday.

Israeli media reported that the Israeli High Court of Justice approved the demolition of the home in the West Bank village of Beit Amra earlier this month, rejecting a petition by the boy’s family that they were not involved in the alleged attack.

Claiming that Murad carried out the attack, the Israeli judges insisted that the family house must have been destroyed although “there was no evidence that the family knew about the incident beforehand.”
