He was taken in a civilian car to Beit Jala Hospital, where he immediately underwent surgery. However, doctors later pronounced him dead.

Another teenager was shot with a live bullet in the leg by the Israeli occupation forces in the same area and he was taken to hospital for treatment.

Overnight Sunday, Israeli occupation forces shot dead a Palestinian teenager during clashes in the northern West Bank village of Bal’a, east of Tulkarem.

Red Crescent officials said that 18-year-old Huthayfa Othman Suleiman was shot in the chest during clashes and died in the operating room.

The killings followed a wave of Israeli escalation over the weekend in which more than 400 Palestinians were wounded in the occupied West Bank and around 200 others were wounded in occupied Jerusalem.
