Israeli authorities to build 530 settlement units

Days of Palestine, West Bank –Israeli occupation authorities approved on Monday evening the construction of 530 new settlement units in West Bank.

The Central Planning and Construction Committee in the Israeli interior ministry said the settlement units aimed to be part of tourism project in the western side of the twon of Jisr Al-Zarqaa.

In a statement, the committee said that the project was proposed by the department of Israeli lands and tourism ministry.

According to the statement, the project is going to be built on the area of 200 dunams. It is going to include 260 hotel units with a grand hotel consists of 115 rooms and four other small hotels.

The statement also said that 6,800 metres were specified for commercial shops, in addition to a large hall and multipurpose park.
