Tens of Israeli settlers desecrate Al-Aqsa Mosque

Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Escorted by Israeli police, tens of Israeli Jewish settlers desecrated Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday morning.

Witnesses told Days of Palestine that at least 45 extremist Jewish settlers broke into the Mosque through Al-Magharbeh Gate.

Media coordinator of Jerusalem Affairs Centre Mahmoud abul-Ata said that the settlers were in groups. They toured, he said, around the Sanctity Yards of the Mosque and performed mythical rituals.

During the desecration, the Israeli police arrested five Palestinians chanced to be in the Mosque when the settlers were there.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police arrested 11 Palestinian citizens, including minors across the holy city of Jerusalem.

Sources told Days of Palestine that the Israeli occupation forces raided the neighbourhood of Silwan and the Old City at dawn and detained 11 Palestinians.
