Days of Palestine, Al-Naqab –Israeli occupation bulldozers demolished on Monday the Arab Bedouin Village of Al-Araqib in Negev for the 83rd times.
After Al-Araqib, the Israeli bulldozers moved to Attir Village and completely demolished an Arab Bedouin house.
Prior to the demolition, the Israeli occupation police imposed a blockade on the village, according to a local activist.
Israeli occupation demolishes the village under the pretext that it is built on a state-owned land, while the villagers say they inherited the land from their forefathers. They also stressed that the village was there before the Israeli occupation in 1948.
An activist said that the demolition of Al-Araqib continue to take place, even after the Israeli Higher Court of Justice ruled that the land of the village do not belong to the state.
He said that local Israeli authorities, who dispute the ruling, have filed a lawsuit demanding the court to order residents of Al-Araqib to pay a daily fine of NIS 5,000 ($1,250).
