Days of Palestine, Gaza Strip –Two Palestinian men were seriously wounded on Sunday when an Israeli leftover missile blew up in eastern Gaza City.
Witnesses told Day of Palestine that two men were handling a certain device they found in their farm in Sheja’ia Neighbourhood in the east of the Gaza City.
“Suddenly, the device exploded and the two men were thrown tens of metres away from the place of the explosion,” one of the witnesses, who called the ambulance, said.
Spokesman of the Palestinian Ministry in Gaza Ashraf al-Qidra said that the two men were admitted to Al-Shifa Hospital in serious conditions.
“One of them is 30 years and the other is 19,” Al-Qidra said. He did not give more details about them.
During the latest Israeli war, ten people, including three journalists –one of them Italian– were killed in a similar accident.
