Days of Palestine, West Ban –Israeli occupation forces arrested on Tuesday at dawn 21 Palestinian civilians in different areas along the occupied West Bank.
Most of the arrests took place in Taqqu neighbourhood as the Israeli occupation announced it arrested 18 Palestinians for taking part in throwing stones at them.
Palestinian eyewitnesses and local sources counted the names of the arrested youths said that many of them were children and school students.
One of the Palestinians was arrested from the city of Jenin as a large number of Israeli troops stormed the city and raided several houses.
Two others were arrested from the villages of Dura and Karza in the south of the city of Al-Khalil, in the south of the occupied west Bank.
This campaign came just one day after a massive arrest campaign carried out by the Palestinian Authority (PA) against university professors, school teachers, doctors and social leaders affiliated to Hamas.
On Thursday, the PLO Central Committee called for the PA to stop all kinds of security cooperation with the Israeli occupation. After these campaigns, Hamas said that the decision “was not worth the paper it was written on.”
“This vicious campaign against the movement proves that Fatah does not want reconciliation, and constantly tries to thwart it through arrests and other daily measures,” Hamas Spokesman Ismail Ridwan said.
