Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Tens of Israeli Jewish settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Thursday morning and attacked Palestinian worshipers.
Witnesses counted 78 settlers passing through Al-Magharbeh Gate heading to the Sanctuary Yards of the Mosque. They settlers included a number of Jewish rabbis.
A big number of Israeli police escorted the settlers to secure their tour around the Mosque and performance of fictitious Talmudic rituals.
For about seven months, the Israeli occupation authorities have been imposing strict restrictions on the entrance of the Palestinian worshipers into Al-Aqsa Mosque.
At the same time, they gave the extremist Jewish settlers and their rabbis the freedom to desecrate it under police and army protection.
These measures come in the context of official Israeli plans to partition the Mosque, specifying certain times and locations for Muslims and Jewish settlers. An Arab Knesset member revealed these plans a couple of months ago.
