Days of Palestine, Haifa –Palestinians in ‘Israel’ took to the streets on Tuesday following Israeli police killing of two Palestinians with Israeli citizenship in Negev.
On Sunday, the Israeli police killed the Palestinian Sami Ja’ar during anti-Israeli aggression protest took place in the city of Rahat, Negev.
Another Palestinian Sami Ziadna was killed on Monday during Ja’ar’s funeral in the desert city of Rahat.
The Arab Higher Monitoring Committee declared a general strike on Tuesday and protests were held against police violence against Palestinian citizens of ‘Israel’ –Arab-Israelis.
According to the commission, thousands of Palestinians marched between the homes of the two men who were killed in Rahat. Then, they gathered at mourning tents set up by their families.
Khalil al-Amur, a Palestinian living in Negev, said the prevailing feeling among Israeli occupation army and police is that “the blood of an Arab is not worth as much.”
Al-Amur said that the consensus is that is Al-Ajar could have been arrested if he was proved guilty. The police could have arrested him without using deadly force.
