The Palestinian fishing boat took fire and anther nearby boat approached it for help, but the Israeli fire continued.
According to the witnesses, who spoke directly to Days of Palestine, the staff on the other boat continued rescue efforts under heavy Israeli fire until they could pull the two fishermen trapped in the fire.
Afterwards, the other fishing boat, which rescued the two wounded fishermen, came under heavy Israeli fire.
One of the fishermen was wounded and the boat was lightly damage. But the fire came over the whole first boat, the witnesses said.
The three wounded fishermen have been admitted to Abu-Yusuf al-Najjar Hospital in the south of the Gaza Strip.
Based on the ceasefire agreement reached on August 26 between representatives for the Palestinian fighters and the Israeli occupation, the Israeli occupation had to expand the fishing zone allowing the Palestinian fishermen to sail for at least six nautical miles in the sea.
Since then, the Palestinian fishermen have come under Israeli fire tens of times, many have been arrested inside the sea and dozens of boats were damaged, too.
