Days of Palestine, West Bank –Palestinian Authority (PA) security services violently dispersed rally for journalists protesting detention of their colleague.
Tens of Palestinian journalists in the Palestinian occupied West Bank organised a rally in front of the headquarters of the PA president, protesting the detention of their colleague journalist Alaa al-Titi by the PA security services.

The journalists demanded the immediate release of their colleague, calling for stopping suppression of freedom of expression and giving room for journalists to work without restrictions.
PA security services asked the journalists that the rally had to be melt down immediately. The journalists refused so the security services violently dispersed them.
Palestinian journalists’ Bloc condemned the assault on the journalists by the Palestinian security services and called for the Syndication for Palestinian Journalists to take measures towards protecting its members.
In wake of the tension in the West Bank and Jerusalem, the PA security services have arrested hundreds of Palestinian activists and journalists in an attempt aiming to suppress any plans to ignite a new intifada.
