Days of Palestine, Reports –Israeli occupation is planning to expel Palestinian communities from land east of Jerusalem and concentrate them new town in Jordan Valley.

According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the Israeli Civil Administration in the occupied West Bank is advancing the plan to expel 12,500 Palestinians, who have inherited the land from fathers and grandfathers.

Amira Hass, Haaretz’s correspondent, said that the plan to move the Palestinians from near the city of Jerusalem to the new town in Jordan valley was drafted without consulting the indigenous residents.

She said that this contradicts a previous Supreme Court ruling, which insisted on the importance to consult the relocation issue with the residents.

The new two is to be built also after a previous verdict by the Israeli Supreme Court regarding the relocation issue. The court said that the Palestinians did not have other homes to move to.

40,000 will lose their homes

Under the Prawer Plan, their land will be confiscated in order to establish a wedge of Jewish communities separating Arab communities in the western and eastern parts of the Naqab.

This is an intensification of an already ongoing assault. As the video notes, in 2005, 30,000 Bedouin homes had an Israeli demolition order. In 2011, about 1,000 were demolished.

Under the Prawer Plan, up to 40,000 people will lose their homes in the latest phase of the violent “Judaisation” of Bedouin lands.

Those affected are not accepting their fate and are mobilizing to stop the Prawer Plan, as the Bedouin activists featured in the video explain.
