Days of Palestine, Gaza Strip –Israeli occupation renewed on Sunday illegal administrative detention for 39 Palestinian prisoners inside jails.
Ahrar Centre for Prisoners’ Studies and Human Rights said that two members of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) were among the prisoners, whose administrative detention was renewed.

“Israeli authorities renewed administrative detention for the PLC members Abdul-Rahman Zaidan and Fathi al-Qar’awi for three months,” Ahrar said. “They were arrested by the Israeli occupation three months ago.”
Fu’ad al-Khuffash, Ahrar director, described the Israeli measure as a “collective punishment” practiced by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian prisoners.
Al-Khuffash called for the world parliamentarians to move towards achieving “justice” regarding the issue of the Palestinian parliamentarians inside Israeli prisons.
Israeli occupation defies international law and international conventions by keeping on using this kind of illegal detention, which mounts, law experts say, to a kind of collective punishment.
