Days of Palestine, West Bank/Gaza Strip –Indirect negotiations between Palestinian resistance and Israeli occupation would resume in two weeks in Cairo, senior Palestinian official said on Saturday.

Qais abdul-Karim, a leading member of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), said that the indirect talks were expected to resume in September 20 or 21.

The negotiations, he said, would focus on the entry of construction material into the Gaza Strip, as the Israeli occupation had not implemented the agreed upon terms of the ceasefire deal reached in August 26.

Abdul-Karim, who is a member in the Palestinian delegation to the indirect talks, said that there is no set date for the talks.

Meanwhile, Deputy Hamas Chief Ismail Haniyeh called on Palestinian factions involved in the issue beside Hamas to start preparing for the resumption of the indirect talks.

About the issues to be discussed in the talks, he said: “Part of the terms was agreed –the siege, opening of the crossings, reconstruction and expansion of fishing zone.

Other terms were put off for one month and others were deleted from the agenda –resistance weapons and tunnels.”

On Monday, the Israeli TV Channel said that Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu would not send the Israeli delegation to ceasefire talks to Cairo.

But the Israeli President Reuven Rivlin hinted today (Sunday) that the ceasefire talks would be resumed as he said that any future ceasefire deal must include disarming Palestinians.
