Days of Palestine, Gaza Strip –Israeli naval forces shot live bullets and then arrested two Palestinian fishermen off the Gaza coast early on Wednesday.
Several fishermen reported the shooting, which was heard by people on the ground, but no casualties were reported.
Then, the Israeli warships obstructed fisherman Mohamed Zayid and Mousa Sultan while they were fishing off the coast of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip before arresting them and confiscating their boat.
Fishermen were near to Zayid and Sultan said that they were driven to unknown places through the sea.
Commenting on the incident, an Israeli military spokeswoman said the fishermen “entered the prohibited fishing zone” near the northern Gaza Strip, and soldiers fired warning shots into the air to tell them to go back.
The spokeswoman refused to provide information about why the fishermen were arrested and refused to reveal their whereabouts. She also refused to confirm whether the fishermen sailed beyond the six nautical miles agreed upon in the ceasefire deal.
Since both Palestinian fighters and Israeli occupation reached the ceasefire deal in August 26, this is the second time Israeli occupation has breached the deal.
Meanwhile, witnesses said that seven Israeli bulldozers had invaded Al-Nahdah neighbourhood in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
Citizens said that the Israeli bulldozers razed large areas of Palestinian farms in that neighbourhood. No clashes of fire shooting were reported. No Israeli comments on this incident was also reported.
