Days of Palestine, Brussels –Euro-Mid Observer has called on the UNSC to immediately intervene to stop the ongoing Israeli massacres carried out against civilians in the Gaza Strip.
According to Euro-Mid, European human rights NGO based in Brussels, the caused by Israeli assaults that first began on July 7 stands at 2,120, including 577 children and 260 women and 101 elderly.
A much larger number of Palestinians in Gaza have been injured – 10,660, including 3,214 children and 2,065 women. About one-third of the wounded children are expected to suffer permanent disabilities.
The latest civilian onslaught began Tuesday after the ceasefire talks collapsed. In one day, the Israeli forces carried out at least 242 individual attacks, including 192 missiles from air, 21 from sea and 29 artillery attacks from tanks.
Since July 7, Gaza has been hit 59,973 times — 7,690 from air, 15,673 from sea and 36,610 from the ground.
The organisation said that the Israeli occupation continues targeting homes and civilian institutions. On Saturday alone, 439 homes were hit; 99 were destroyed and 340 were partially damaged.
The total number of homes totally or partially damaged since the beginning of the ongoing war on Gaza is 15,671.
Euro-Mid Observer estimates the economic losses resulted by the Israeli occupation in Gaza by $3.4 billion.
As for the Israeli occupation attacks continue with intentions to expand them, Euro-Mid expresses it grieve concerns and calls upon the UNSC to immediately stop the ongoing carnage being carried out against civilians, which is not of their making.
