Palestinian Prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash continues his open hunger strike in the Israeli occupation prisons for the 117th day, rejecting his administrative detention, amid warnings of the seriousness of his health condition.
According to lawyers’ testimonies, the prisoner Abu Hawash suffers from pain all over his body without exception, cannot sleep due to severe pain, loses his balance, moves in a wheelchair, and suffers from vomiting continuously, and has lost a lot of weight.
Yesterday, the Military Court of Appeals of the Israeli occupation had postponed the ruling on the case of the prisoner Abu Hawash.
According to the lawyer of the Prisoner Club, Jawad Boulos, the decision of postponing the ruling came to obtain a detailed medical report on Abu Hawash health condition, and whether he will remain in the hospital, or will be sent back to prison, only to return today again with a decision postponing the case until tomorrow.
Yesterday, the Israeli occupation prisons administration transferred Abu Hawash to the Israeli “Asaf Harofeh” hospital, where he faces a serious health condition, knowing that his transfer came after several demands made during court sessions, and this also falls within the framework of transformations in dealing with the hunger striker, as the prison administration leaves the prisoner in prison despite his grave health condition after it was transferring him to a civilian hospital after a specific period of the strike.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation authorities arrested Abu Hawash, 40, from the town of Dura, south of Hebron on the 27th of October last year, and issued three administrative detention orders against him, each for a period of 6 months, and the last order was reduced from (4-6) months extendable.
The detainee, Abu Hawash, is married and the father of five children. He was previously arrested several times.

His first arrest began in 2003 between rulings and administrative detention. The total years of his detention amounted to (8) years, including (52) months under administrative detention.
