Israeli occupation forces freed Palestinian prisoner Kayed Fasfous Sunday, two weeks after reaching an agreement to terminate his indefinite detention in exchange for him halting his 131-day hunger strike.
The 32-year-old had remained in an Israeli hospital after his strike was called off due to worsening in his condition.
He’d gone on strike in protest to being detained in administrative detention – without charge or trial – with no clue when he’d be freed.
It’s worth mentioning that his detention continued without charge or trial for five years.
He has been pushed around in a wheelchair in his hometown of Dura, according to video footage.
During his hunger strike, Kayed had shed 45 kg.
