Days of Palestine – Nablus
The Israeli occupation forces violently suppressed the anti-occupation rallies organized on Friday afternoon in Beita and Beit Dajan towns in Nablus.
Dozens of locals performed Friday prayers at the entrance to Beit Dajan town in protest against its continued closure for six years.
The participants also chanted slogans against the Israeli plan of new settlement construction on the town’s lands.
Several injuries were reported among the protesters due to the heavy firing of tear gas bombs by Israeli forces.
A similar anti-settlement protest was also held in Beita town, where Israeli occupation forces soldiers heavily fired teargas bombs at the peaceful protesters.
However, the Israeli occupation forces denied ambulances access to the area to deal with the reported injuries.
The Beita protests broke out last May after a group of Jewish settlers erected a Jewish community on a nearby hilltop.
All settlements in the West Bank are deemed illegal under international law, but Israel continues its settlement construction in total violation of international laws.
