Ahmed Bahar, first deputy speaker of the Palestinian parliament, appreciated the Iraqi people, presidency and parliament, for rejecting normalization with Israel.

Bahar, in a press statement on Wednesday, said that the Iraqi position represents the true pulse of Muslim and Arab world toward the Palestine question.

Bahar called on Islamic and Arabic regimes to follow suit. 

New York-based Center for Peace Communications organized Restitution and Peace conference in Erbil in northern Iraq where the attendees called for normalization with Israel. The calls were widely and officially rejected in Iraq.
