DaysofPal- Taher an-Nunu, a senior Hamas figure, has spoken about the diplomatic efforts made by the Movement’s leadership through engagement with leaders and officials to reach a ceasefire and end the Israeli military operations in Gaza.
On Wednesday, he said that “Hamas is exploring ways with several countries to respond to what it describes as Israeli crimes, following the right-wing government’s refusal to engage with a ceasefire proposal that was endorsed by the Movement and other Palestinian factions in Cairo nearly two weeks ago.”
Nunu highlighted the effective efforts of the Movement’s national relations office to overcome the setbacks faced in reaching a ceasefire with Israel, thereby consolidating the Palestinian position.
He stated that the situation in the West Bank is equally dire as that in Gaza, cautioning that Netanyahu’s plans aim to undermine the entire Palestinian national project and seek the elimination of the Palestinian cause.
