Nine Palestinians Killed by IOF in Jenin Prompt General Strike in West Bank and Jerusalem

A oneday general strike was called for on Thursday in cities in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem in remembrance of the Palestinians who lost their lives during the vicious Israeli attack on Jenin and its camp earlier that day.

The Health Ministry reported that nine people had been killed and 20 injured as a result of the Israeli military‘s incursion into the northern West Bank city of Jenin, which is under Israeli occupation.

Palestinian groups requested a widescale stoppage of work and urged Palestinians living in the occupied regions to take action against Israeli occupation forces at checkpoints.

Magda Obaid, aged 60, was one of the victims of the tragedy. Two of the younger casualties were Saeb Issam Mahmoud Izreiqi, 24, and Izzidin Yassin Salahat, 26.

The Ministry stated that the 16 people who were killed by Israeli forces, which included a child, had all been shot in their chests, shoulders, stomachs, and lower body.
