A series of Israeli airstrikes on Tuesday afternoon, September 24, 2024, targeted civilian homes and an ambulance in the Nuseirat refugee camp, located in central Gaza.
The attack resulted in the deaths of several citizens and left many others injured, as the humanitarian situation in the region continues to deteriorate.
According to local sources, Israeli warplanes and drones launched a deadly assault on three families—Abu Rish, Fayyad, and Al-Sharif—situated in the northern part of the Nuseirat camp.
The strikes reportedly killed six people, including three women, and injured several others, among them a paramedic, some of whom remain in critical condition.
The Palestinian Civil Defense confirmed the rising toll from the Israeli bombardment, with the six identified victims being Ahmad Nabil Jaser, Samah Ali Al-Sharif, Ibtisam Khamis Al-Sharif, Ruweida Shahda Farajallah, Azmi Abu Freih, and Abdullah Khalil Shahada.
In addition, local reports indicated that children were among those injured when an airstrike targeted the Abu Rish family’s home in northern Nuseirat.
The attack also claimed the lives of three members of the Fayyad and Al-Sharif families after their homes were destroyed in a strike on the “New Camp” area within Nuseirat.
A separate incident saw Palestinian paramedics wounded after an Israeli drone targeted an ambulance during a mission to evacuate casualties from an earlier airstrike in northern Nuseirat.
Earlier today, Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported that Israeli forces committed three massacres against Palestinian families in the past 24 hours.
These attacks have resulted in a combined toll of 55 people dead or injured. According to the ministry’s daily statistics report, hospitals in Gaza received 12 martyrs and 43 wounded individuals from these latest assaults.
