DaysofPal- The Gaza Center for Human Rights has reported that Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip for the 168th consecutive day, citing ongoing killings, air and artillery strikes, and the targeting of civilian gatherings.
In a statement issued Saturday, the organization said its field monitoring teams documented a series of recent attacks that resulted in deaths and injuries across different areas of Gaza. The latest incident occurred on the morning of March 28, 2026, when two brothers, Fahmi and Saed Qadoumi, were shot and killed by Israeli forces in eastern Gaza City. Several others were injured in the same incident, including one person in critical condition.
The group also reported that an Israeli airstrike on Deir al-Balah on March 25 killed Abdulrahman Mohammad Qanbour, 22, and injured others. In a separate attack on March 24, an Israeli drone strike near al-Sawarha cemetery, southwest of the Nuseirat refugee camp, killed Ahmad Mohammad Darwish, 38, and Nael Ahed al-Nabahen, 21, while leaving another person seriously wounded.
Increasing Death toll and Systemic Military Violations
Field data compiled by the organization shows 694 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire took effect on October 10. The figure includes 202 children, 83 women, and 21 elderly people. A total of 1,888 individuals have been injured, among them 558 children, 369 women, and 96 elderly persons.
The report also documented 2,160 violations since the start of the ceasefire, averaging around 13 incidents per day. These include shootings, artillery shelling, airstrikes, explosions, and ground incursions.
The organization further stated that Israeli occupation forces continue to restrict the humanitarian protocol attached to the agreement by severely limiting the entry of aid and fuel. Data indicates that only about 40 percent of the agreed number of aid trucks have entered Gaza, while fuel deliveries have not exceeded 14.9 percent of the planned quantities. These shortages have deepened the collapse of essential services and hindered efforts to repair water, electricity, and sanitation networks, putting the lives of patients and displaced people at risk.
The group also highlighted ongoing restrictions at the Rafah crossing, including limits on the number of travelers and obstacles facing patients seeking treatment abroad. It noted that one individual was reportedly detained while returning to Gaza, describing the incident as a violation of the humanitarian protocol and international law.
The Gaza Center for Human Rights said the repeated violations represent a serious breach of the ceasefire agreement and reflect excessive use of force against civilians and the targeting of populated areas. It warned that the continued attacks, despite a declared truce, point to a lack of international enforcement and contribute to a climate of impunity.
The organization called on the international community and guarantors of the agreement to take urgent action to halt the violations, ensure immediate protection for civilians, allow the full and unconditional flow of humanitarian aid, and support independent international investigations into attacks on civilians, with the aim of holding those responsible accountable under international law.
