DaysofPal- Israeli settlers carried out a series of violent attacks across the occupied West Bank on Sunday, setting vehicles ablaze, uprooting olive trees, and vandalizing Palestinian property in multiple locations, local sources reported.
Locals said that Israeli settlers set fire to two vehicles after storming the village of Majdal Bani Fadil, southeast of Nablus, and spray-painted racist slogans in Hebrew on the walls of a home.
The torched vehicles belonged to two residents, Abd al-Nabi Tayeh and Saddam Tayeh, whose cars were completely destroyed in the attack.
In a separate incident early Sunday morning, settlers burned another vehicle in the village of Al-Taybeh, east of Ramallah, reducing it to ashes.
Settler violence also extended to agricultural lands.
In the village of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, settlers uprooted around 150 olive trees in an area known as Marj Siy’a, located west of the village and adjacent to the lands of nearby Abu Falah. Local sources said settlers had also been grazing their sheep on Palestinian farmlands in the area earlier in the day.
Meanwhile, settlers stole several beehives and destroyed four others belonging to a Palestinian farmer, Bashir Abu Muhammad, in the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah.
The Palestinian Commission Against the Wall and Settlements reported that since the beginning of the Israeli military assault on Gaza on October 7, 2023, settlers have carried out more than 7,150 attacks across the West Bank.
These assaults have resulted in the killing of 33 Palestinians and the forcible displacement of 33 Bedouin communities, encompassing more than 450 Palestinian families.
The latest surge in settler attacks has further fueled tensions across the occupied territory, where Palestinians accuse the Israeli military of protecting settlers and enabling their assaults on civilians and farmlands.
As the olive harvest season approaches, a critical source of livelihood for thousands of Palestinian families, residents fear that continued settler violence will bring yet another season of loss, destruction, and impunity.
