Sunday, Israeli settlers pelted Palestinian cars with stones near the village of Luban e-Sharkiya on the road linking Ramallah and Nablus, two cities in the West Bank.
It was reported that about 15 Israeli settlers assembled at Eli, an illegal Israeli outpost, and started hurling stones at Palestinian automobiles, and even attacked the Palestinians in the vehicles.
The regular and rampant acts of aggression perpetrated against Palestinians and their assets by radical Israeli settlers in the West Bank usually go without consequence due to the lack of prosecution by the Israeli government.
Violent activities committed by the settlers include arson of property and mosques, throwing stones, destruction of plants and olive trees, and assaults on vulnerable homes, just to name a few.
Roughly half a million to 600,000 Israeli settlers inhabit Jewish-only settlements located in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, which is a breach to international law.
It is illegal under international law, specifically article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, for the West Bank to have any Israeli settlements.
This article states that the occupying power must not send any of its civilians to an area it occupies.
