DaysofPal – Israeli occupation forces carried out airstrikes, military incursions, and extensive demolition operations throughout various parts of the enclave on Wednesday, continuing to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
Early on Wednesday, an Israeli drone strike targeted an area west of the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, seriously injuring one Palestinian, according to local sources.
Israeli occupation forces also advanced into Al-Sikka Street, southeast of the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City. Armored vehicles reportedly pushed east of the Dawla Junction under heavy aerial cover and intense live fire.
Witnesses reported massive demolition operations east of Gaza City, while a sound bomb exploded in the skies over the city’s southeastern area.
In southern Gaza, Israeli forces fired illumination flares southeast of Khan Younis as heavy gunfire targeted areas east of the town of Al-Qarara, north of the city. Additional demolition operations were carried out south of Khan Younis.
Israeli occupation forces have continued to breach the ceasefire through air and artillery attacks, demolition campaigns, and the destruction of buildings within the area known as the “Yellow Line.” Restrictions on the movement of goods, humanitarian aid, and travel have also remained in place.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reports that since the ceasefire went into effect on October 10, 1,180 Palestinians have been killed and 3,810 more have been injured. The ministry also reported 802 bodies recovered from under the rubble during the same period.
Since the start of Israel’s genocidal offensive on October 7, 2023, the overall death toll in Gaza has reached 73,305, while 173,918 people have been injured, underscoring the devastating human cost of the continuing assault on the besieged enclave.
