Large numbers of Israeli settlers, protected by Israeli occupation forces IOF, invaded the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday morning, March 26, 2023.
Palestinian media sources reported that tens of Israeli settlers invaded Al-Aqsa and performed provocative rituals at its courtyards.
The sources pointed out that Israeli occupation forces attacked Palestinian worshipers and forced them to leave Al-Aqsa paving a way for the settlers’ incursion.
In addition, an Israeli drone was seen flying over the sky of Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque coinciding with the settlers’ invasion.
Ahead of the settlers’ raid, dozens of Israeli occupation forces gathered near the Al-Maghariba gate to evacuate the mosque from the Palestinian worshipers.
On Saturday night, more than 50 Israeli soldiers invaded Al-Aqsa and Al-Qibli Prayer Hall. They fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades to expel Palestinians.
Israeli settlers carry out semi-daily incursions into the blessed Mosque in Jerusalem and provocatively perform Talmudic rituals under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
Meanwhile, Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem continue their calls to mobilize at Al-Aqsa to confront the Israeli incursions, expected to rise during the holy month of Ramadan.
Israeli occupation authorities impose suffocating restrictions on the Palestinians’ entry to Al-Aqsa, regularly banning worshipers from entering the holy Mosque.
In February 2023 alone, at least 3583 Israeli settlers invaded the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli forces.
