Israeli settlers attacked on Thursday, August 24, 2023, Palestinian livestock herders in the vicinity of Khallet Makhaul in the northern Jordan Valley.
According to Ayman Gharib, an activist with the Popular Resistance Committees, a group of settlers assaulted one of the livestock herders in the area. The attack occurred under the protection of the Israeli military, which not only expelled the herder from the location but also prevented him from returning.
The attack sheds light on the escalating violations by settlers against Palestinians in the northern Jordan Valley. The majority of grazing areas in the region have been seized by settlers, often with the backing of Israeli forces.
