Israeli Forces Attack Palestinian Prisoners

B.M | DOP -

Israeli occupation forces attacked Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli Galbou prisons, vandalizing their belongings, on Friday, January 27.

The Palestinian Prisoners Society PPS reported that Israeli forces stormed the prison cells of Palestinian prisoners who were transferred from Rimon to Galbou prison.

The PPS pointed out that the Israeli troops vandalized the prisoners’ belongings and destroyed the prison Cantina, the prison’s shop.

It added that the Israeli occupation forces stole some items from the Cantina, causing them losses estimated at $30,000.

Meanwhile, Palestinian prisoners threatened to take protest measures against the harassment and restrictions imposed by the prison authorities.

These attacks came several days ago after Israeli occupation forces transferred forty Palestinian prisoners in solidarity confinement in the Nafha desert prison.

With the start of the Israeli far-right government, Itamar Ben-Gvir ordered tightening restrictions on Palestinian prisoners.

According to Palestinian figures, Israeli occupation authorities hold some 4,700 Palestinians, including 29 female prisoners, and 150 minors.
