A significant decline in the Jews’ emigration from the United States to ‘Israeli’, Palestinian territories controlled by the Israeli occupation, following the recent crisis due to judicial reform plans proposed by Netanyahu’s far-right government and its rising extremism.
Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported, “215 new immigrants arrived from the United States of America and Canada recently to ‘Israel’, but there is great concern behind the scenes.”
Due to the judicial reform plans, “There is talk of instability in ‘Israel’. More people are telling us that they do not want to emigrate,” it added.
These judicial reforms are the cornerstone of Netanyahu’s government, which is made up of ultra-Orthodox Jews and far-right parties, which came to power in the Israeli occupation state last December.
This legislation gives the Israeli government more powers in the committee that selects judges and would limit the powers of the Israeli Supreme Court.
These reforms will also empower the Israeli occupation to carry out further crimes against the Palestinians with impunity and no restrictions, which has been the case since this fascist regime assumed power in November 2022.
According to OCHA in the occupied Palestinian territories, more than 170 Palestinians were killed by Israeli troops in 2023, which is the highest rate since 2005.
A report by the Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission revealed that the Israeli occupation forces and settler militias carried out 897 attacks on Palestinians and their properties in July 2023.
In a time the Israeli occupation paves the way for new settlers to immigrate from around the world and occupy the Palestinians’ lands, it’s noteworthy that there are over 6.5 million Palestinian refugees in the diaspora waiting to return to their homelands, but the Israeli occupation deprives them this right.
