Israeli Settlers from the settlements of Beit Hadassah and Ramati Yishai in Hebron attacked and injured a child and detained two others on Monday, August 29th, 2022, near his house, while smashing the windows of a house in the city center.
Sources said that armed settlers, under the protection of the occupation forces, beat the child Islam Sharif Al-Tamimi (13 years), while he was in the Old City of Hebron, causing him bruises and wounds in the head, after which he sought medical treatment.
In the same context, settlers from the “Beit Hadassah” settlement smashed the windows of the Sidr family’s house, on Al-Shallala Street in the center of the city, causing terror among the family’s children.
On Monday evening, the Israeli occupation forces arrested two children at the western entrance to Silwad town, according to what eyewitnesses from the town said, without being able to identify them.
Witnesses also reported the spread of occupation snipers on rooftops near the western entrance to Silwad town, coinciding with the occupation forces re-closing the entrance after it was opened yesterday by the municipality.
The Israeli occupation detains 175 children in its jails, outside those who are confined in house arrests in what is seen as a part of the inhumane treatment of Palestinians that doesn’t follow basic Human rights agreements much less does it follow children’s rights.
