Palestinian Prisoners Club reported that a court session will be held Sunday, 20 November 2022 for the 14-year-old Palestinian child prisoner Hussein Zaidat from the town of Bani Naim, east of Hebron.
Israeli occupation forces transferred the Palestinian child Zaidat today Saturday to the Israeli prison of Ofer, the Palestinian Prisoners Club added in a statement.
Zaidat, a student in the ninth grade, was arrested yesterday near the illegal Israeli settlement of ‘Kiryat Arba’ established on the lands of Hebron after he was assaulted by the Israeli occupation forces during his arrest.
Israeli occupation forces stripped Zaidat of his clothes following his arrest and took pictures and videos of the undressed child in a flagrant violation of his human rights.
Israeli occupation escalated the arrests of Palestinian children as the number of arrests among children since the beginning of this year reached more than 750 among whom were children who were shot during arrest.
It is worth noting that the number of Palestinian children held in the Israeli occupation prisons has reached 160 children, including three girls.
Israel’s policy of arresting children is one of the most prominent policies pursued by the occupation troops and it carries out grave violations against them without any regard for international agreements on children’s rights.
